This technique allows you to focus on honing your quilting skills. It allows you to quilt each block with precision, and then "sash" your quilted blocks together for a final large quilt.
The main advantage of the QAYG technique is the ability to easily manage your quilting in smaller sections without the bulk of the entire quilt being in the way while you work. If you do not have a long-arm quilting machine and have tried to free-motion quilt a lap-size or larger quilt, you know how frustrating it can be to keep a consistent flow! QAYG is a great way to perfectly quilt each block with precision!

LAYER CAKE ... AND EAT IT TOO!
This Quilting Camp is your chance to finish a queen size quilt top in one day using Layer Cakes. Layer Cakes are sets of 10x10 inch precut squares of coordinating fabric that can be pieced together for patchwork perfection! Some basic sewing experience is best, but this class is open to everyone of all skill levels. Fingers crossed, you will take home a complete quilt top, and most likely even the entire finished quilt sandwich (depending on your skill level). P.S. Cake will be served as a treat on our break (of course).

CAMP SCHEDULE
