An Intro to Quilting Camp is not scheduled yet! Check back later for Camp opportunities!
Thanks for your patience, darlings!
INTRO CAMP OPTION 2
Have you already attended INTRO TO QUILTIG CAMP? Want to attend again, but don't want to make another baby quilt? Awesome! Let's use a Layer Cake instead of a Charm Pack! In other words, you are free to use precut 10x10 inch squares (Layer Cake) instead of 5x5 (Charm Pack). Same concept, larger quilt! Sign up below and mention "OPTION 2" in the comments!
INTRO TO QUILTING
For my locals, visit The Square Quilter in Shiner, Texas, and ask any of the lovely ladies for assistance with your list. They have a GREAT selection of Charm Packs and coordinating fabric.
These are a few of the Charm Packs available at The Square Quilter. You may also order online from Fat Quarter Shop and other various online stores. I love Missouri Star Quilting! Isn't this Extravaganza Charm Pack gorgeous??! Don't forget to buy batting too!
Note: You can purchase fabric from JoAnne's and Hobby Lobby, but the quality is not the best. Also, they may not carry much of a selection of Charm Packs.
Note: If you do not purchase a charm pack, please pre-cut your 5-inch squares PRIOR to camp!
1 Charm Pack (or 36 5-inch squares)
1 Yard Backing
1/2 Yard Border
1/2 Yard Binding
1 "crib size" cotton batting (or at least 36x36 inch)
Dear potential Happy Camper: This Quilting Camp will provide you with the basic skills for machine piecing and quilting. Some basic sewing experience is best, but this class is open to everyone of all skill levels. Fingers crossed, you will take home a complete quilt top, and perhaps even the entire finished quilt (time permitting).
You will have to buy your own supplies and fabric, and you must have your own sewing machine.
If you prefer to let me provide your fabric, I will choose an adorable Charm Pack and all coordinating fabric for you. Cost: $50. Choose the QUILT KIT option in the SIGN UP form when you register.
FYI: The cost of all your fabric will be between $25 and $50 depending on where you purchase it. For fabric suggestions, please see below!
